Kamala referred to Trump as a "threat to democracy," while Trump claimed that God has revealed the path forward.
Just two weeks after the vote, Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris and Republican candidate Donald Trump are intensively campaigning to win over voters.
Both candidates outlined their future plans while also targeting each other. On Monday, Kamala campaigned across three key swing states in the Midwest, while Trump focused his efforts in North Carolina.
During her campaign, Kamala raised concerns about Trump's mental fitness, labeling him a "threat to democracy." Trump, on the other hand, stated that God has guided him to his current position.
In her appearances alongside former Republican legislator Liz Cheney, Kamala criticized Trump, emphasizing the potential dangers of his presidency. As Election Day approaches, she has been vocal about questioning Trump’s age and fitness for office, occasionally referring to him as "unstable" or "mentally unbalanced," and expressing concerns about his temperament. Trump is 78 years old.
"In many ways, Donald Trump is an unimportant person," Kamala stated at a rally in Pennsylvania on Monday. "But if he becomes president, the consequences will be dire."
The presidential election is set for November 5. While opponents frequently label Trump a threat to democracy, he has consistently countered that the Democratic Party poses the real threat.
At a gathering with Catholic Christian missionaries in North Carolina, Trump remarked, "I now understand that God has led me to where I am today," as he seeks to connect with religious voters, including Catholics, evangelicals, and Jews.
Polls indicate a close race between Kamala and Trump. Kamala secured the Democratic nomination after incumbent President Joe Biden withdrew from the race.
As both candidates ramp up their campaigns, they are focusing on attracting voters from smaller parties, as these voters can be pivotal in determining the outcome of this fiercely contested election.
